No place I'd Rather Live in Spring time! *Edited to add In our price range!

Although the Inland Empire is not my favorite place I've ever lived, I have to say I love it here in the spring! Our backyard is basically orange groves (protected by the city how lucky is that?) and the smell that radiates from the blossoms is amazing! I live for this smell each year. It starts around mid March and lasts through April. It's the most beautiful natural smell in the world! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else this time of year. But I have to say, come to my house in January and you'll never want to return because when they fertilize the groves, well not such a pretty smell. But I swear it's worth the wait!

Which do you like better?

Rick and I bought a bedroom set last night. We got one of the 2 beds here. I like them both, but at the store they only had the one in white. I went online and they show the other one in white too, and if they have it I may switch. What do you think?

Spring time & grass, finally!

Most of you know we haven't had grass in the backyard for sometime, well as long as I've lived here so that makes 2 years. Anyway we decided that it was time and the kids really needed a yard. Turns out they needed a yard even more than we expected. Since we got the sod, and it's been warm they are out there everyday digging and digging. I love it! Also Brooklyn has decided that she loves eating dirt!

Last night I was putting the kids to bed and Brooklyn climbed in bed with Logan, I asked he if she wanted to sleep with brother and she pulled the covers up to her chin and said "nigh nigh" It was so cute. then she cuddled with him. I finally told Logan that sleeping with Brooklyn is no fun because she likes to kick and pull hair. She's totally obsessed with hair and waking up to hair pulling is no fun. He agreed. Then told me if she slept with him "My head would fall off the bed"

ANGELS FAN!?!?

Photobucket
Okay Bobby and Tif gave Logan this shirt for his b-day last year and he's wanted to wear it a lot lately. We're DODGER fans here! And a little Padres too (I still feel the love for San Diego) But Angels NO WAY JOSE! So we're out shopping last night and I'm buying a Dodger's hat to wear opening day (I'm so excited we're going) and Logan says he wants an Angels hat, that he LOVES the Angels and he "Definitely has to have that Angel's hat" So Rick bought it for him (I know you can tell Tad to call him and give him a hard time, Amelia) Today he dresses himself and this is how he comes downstairs. Then I took a picture and told him that I would send it to Carys. So this is for all the Angel fans we know and for that special little Texas Bowler, Carys, Logan's girlfriend! Ha ha

I'm an IDOL nerd too!

ADDICTED! For the wrong reasons!

You all told me that this blogging stuff would get addicting, well it has, but for the wrong reason! I am constantly on here trying to figure it out! No I'm not thinking of clever blogs to post, or even uploading cute pictures. I can't even get my layout to work right. So I'll just keep neglecting my kids, housework and myspace (ha ha this is way more fun) until I get it! At least when I get mad I walk away, and then I can get something done!

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Ok someone help me! I try to re size in photo bucket so can use HTML to post pictures but it kicks me off. Also if I try to add a fun background I lose my pictures. I'm usually pretty good at this computer stuff. I have a MAC and I think that may be the problem. Any one else using a MAC?

Letters I made. These were for Starsha's baby. I did Logan and Brooklyn's too.

Easter

We had a great Easter and I have a ton of pictures I would like to post, but I have a few issues that I can't figure out. So when I do I swear my blog will be cool like everyone else. So back to Easter. I just cooked a nice dinner, homemade scalloped potatoes, chicken with roasted red peppers and asparagus. It was really good. And I'm getting pretty good at this entertaining stuff. I do have a big mess to clean but hey we had so much fun. The kids loved hunting eggs and were really pleased with what the Easter Bunny brought. Although one of the first things Logan said was "Ahh man I didn't want that monster truck I wanted T-Rex one!" he he

More Sleep Please!

Ok I don't know about you, but I'm definately not a morning person. I mean don't even try to talk to me until I've either had some coffee or breakfast. That being said I've always thought this must be the reason that I was blessed with kids who do not sleep! When Logan was a baby he was up every two hours. I know most newborns are, but I'm talking well into 6-7 months it was like that. I remember the first time he slept through the night he was 14 months old. He'll be four soon and he still gets up at night. OK I'm thinking that when Brooklyn comes I'm kinda used to this no sleep thing so I'll be ok. WEll not so much the case. Although I am a little used to it now, Brooklyn wakes up more often than Logan did! Anyway she's 16 months old now and just this week has started sleeping through the night, well 70% of the time. It's great! Although Logan still occasionally gets up and between the two of them I've still not had a full nights sleep (in like 5 years), I can still appreciate what I'm getting now. Being a mom is literally tiring! Now if I can just get them to not wake up with the roosters! I must have wonder kids who do not need much sleep to function. And yes I will be one of those mothers someday who tells her children "I hope your kids give you a taste of what it was like to raise you!" haha I remember my mom saying that...hey and I was a really good kid!

San Francisco

Oh my gosh, I LOVED San Francisco! We went up there three weeks ago, sorta as a little family getaway, and we had a blast. I've been to some "big cities" (okay maybe Miami was the biggest) but wow it wasn't at all what I expected. I felt like I was in a mini Manhattan. The hustle and bustle of the streets, cable cars and just the general atmosphere was so exciting (not to mention the shopping was great!). The kids loved it too. Logan couldn't get enough of the cable cars. And the city really wore Brooklyn out because she slept in her stroller everyday, which she never ever does. Rick and I ate at this amazing little Thai restaurant, the food was AMAZING! I can't wait to go back in August with Sarah, just girls of course!

New at this!

Ok so even though I started this blog awhile ago I am so new at this! I have no idea what I'm doing or how to make it cuter. Please send me your suggestions. I'm really excited because I think this is a great way to keep in touch with my family and friends both near and far!
